This is a replacement thermal insulation sleeve, as supplied fitted to later manufactured Nova .21/.24 Off-Road engines.

This thermal sleeve is fitted directly to the carburettor body, rather than fitted inside of the crankcase as supplied with earlier manufactured Nova engines. This is a running deisgn change, but can be retrofitted to older carburettors should you prefer, but you will need to remove the existing thermal sleeve already fitted to your crankcase before it can be used, which can be tricky due to the tight fit.
