Nova's first foray into the stock engine market starts with a bang, in the form of the S3RWC "Ricky Slater" world championship edition engine, which is a celebration of Ricky's amazing win in the 1/8 stock car world championships using Nova engines, which have become increasingly popular in the class in recent years. The S3RWC has been designed in conjunction with Ricky for the increasingly demanding class, which requires both strong torque and high RPM in order to be competitive. This engine features cherry picked components from the full range of Nova engines, both on and off-road in order to achieve this - Making a truly bespoke solution designed specifically for the 1/8 stock car class.

The engine features the "Turbo" style backplate and also the low-profile 9mm venturi, which are the first time these are included with a factory spec engine rather than being options as is the case with the rest of the Nova engine line. The engine also features a 2-Needle carb, as the third mid-speed needle becomes redundant without easy adjustment without removing the car from a 1/8 stock car chassis.
